HRC offers a wide range of courses aimed at helicopter crews who are required to operate a rescue hoist.  Whether on Search and Rescue duties or otherwise, it is essential that pilots, hoist operators and 'downline' rescuers have a thorough understanding of how their hoist equipment works and how to employ safe procedures in hazardous conditions. 

Hoisting can be a dangerous operation. We aim to show students how to eliminate many of the risks and help them to build confidence in their aircraft and hoist equipment.

Professional hoist operating is more than just being able to work the equipment. At HRC, we believe every HHO crew should have a thorough knowledge of effective hoist husbandry and be capable of conducting dynamic risk assessment. All our HHO training courses begin with a comprehensive package of ground instruction in hoist technology and risk awareness. We are also able to offer hoist maintenance instruction.
